it's racial harmony day in school today.
though im not always enthusiastic like previous years, this time has gotta be an exception.
besides carrying out my duty as national education ambassador,it's gonna be my last and some other's last to celebrate and commemorate racial harmony in school.
there will be no more opportunity where we are encouraged to wear ethnic costumes and learn more about other cultures without feeling weird wearing it on no special occassion.
demoralizing it is at times, this may be one of the good things that comes out of why im still there i guess.
it was nice to see nearly half of the school dressed in an ethnic costume.
and makes me feel better when most and i mean non-malays wear malay kurungs.
im just so proud and happy that most appreciate our culture albeit the hot weather with kurungs that (of course!) are meant to wear loose and long.
then,in the afternoon we have programmes for the school organised by the N.E ambassadors.heh.
there were some traditional delicacies but the best was the traditional games.
i was reluctant at first that there wont be good response but i was wrong.
everything went on smoothly and well.
Pick-Up Sticks
Dog&Bone
5 stones
Shooter
Kite-Making
Card Games
Milkcans
Takraw
Congkak
and....some others.like motherhen and bubble balloons.heh.
but i didnt get the chance to watch it because i was busy attending my congkak booth with my dear iqa and busier snapping pics and busiest with laughing at how silly some people are and terribly the most busy with stealing glances of mr. hotstuff.
ohhh.how
(compare to previous years lah kan.)
you see..i make full use of my last year in this goddamnit school.
it's all gonna be worthwhile.
next up,national day celebration at fort canning baby.
